Your eye exam should be fully tailored to your visual needs. That’s why we created the Glasses Half Full personalized eye exam. With multiple service options for comprehensive eye exams, your eye care is customized and in your control. STANDARD EYE EXAMS
Standard Eye Exam
(Includes: Refraction Plus & Standard Eye Health)
REFRACTION PLUS
- More affordable and accurate than online sight testing, Refraction Plus consists of a basic vision screening and eye power measurement. This option provides you with a glasses prescription in the most precise way possible, but does not include a health check.
STANDARD EYE HEALTH
- For your best vision care, our Standard Eye Exam includes a health assessment of the front & back of your eyes, a new prescription, and a binocular vision screening. This is our most popular eye exam option, and is recommended for children and adults with no new visual concerns.
PREMIUM EYE IMAGING
- Our Premium Eye Exam adds OCT imaging and digital retinal photography on top of everything included in the Standard Eye Exam. This is our most comprehensive and detailed Eye Exam, and allows us to optimally track the health of your retina and optic nerve. We recommend a Premium Eye Exam every second visit to provide the best ongoing monitoring of your eye health goals.
CHILDRENS’ EYE EXAMS
AGE 0-8
- Babies as young as 6 months can have their eye health and vision checked in a fun, safe, and kid-approved Standard Eye Exam. Alberta Health subsidizes all children’s full eye exams, including for infants and toddlers!
AGE 9+
- Children aged 9 and older can choose between Standard and Premium Eye Exams. We recommend annual eye exams to keep an ‘eye’ on your child’s visual health and glasses needs as they grow!
SUPPLEMENTAL EYE EXAMS
MEDICAL EYE EXAM
- Skip the emergency room and be seen immediately by an eye doctor. We keep urgent care slots available for same-day appointments or walk-ins, no matter what your concern happens to be. Medical exams are also available for non-emergency matters, like dry eye or allergy. Medical Eye Exams at GHF are subsized by Alberta Health when coverage is available.
CONTACT LENS FITTING
- At GHF, we are passionate about helping you find the best lens for your vision needs. Our contact lens fittings use the latest technology to help us fit all types of standard and custom contacts, including multifocal designs and lenses for nearsightedness control. We also provide one-on-one training and support for first-time contact lens wearers.
CONTACT LENS PERFORMANCE EXAM
- We want to make reordering contact lenses simpler and less expensive, which is why we created the annual CL Performance Exam. This option includes a full lens fit and function evaluation, and renews your contact lens prescriptions easily and at a lower cost.
